Pros
Work life balance is great. Job stability is great! Even through the pandemic we all retained our positions. The training is great. They often have 3rd party companies come to sites or send us all to common sites for training. You can also pick trainings out applicable to your position and okay it with your supervisor to go to trainings of your choosing. The best one and definitely the biggest asset in my opinion the workforce!
Cons
Tallgrass really seems to struggle with retention often times leaving stations running people that do currently work ragged. We continue to see turnover at a ridiculous rate. Maintenance program is way out of date and doesn’t work effectively especially when the people that run it are spread so thin with other things. They pay is no longer near the industry standard. Most competitor companies in the oil and gas industries offer a pension plan on top of a 401k making it an easy choice for people to leave. Most companies have a lot better health insurance plans and benefits. Premiums, coverage and in network plans. They train us so well (with 3rd party vendors) that often times it makes it easy for us to go work for other companies for more money.
