Pros
While the pay wasn't exceptional, it was fair and in line with what I expected in this field.
Cons
The immaturity of the management team was the major source of frustration here. Decisions were often made without proper consultation or consideration of long-term consequences. Communication was poor, and managers were quick to blame engineers for problems instead of taking ownership of their own shortcomings. The company's approach to technical debt was particularly concerning. Legacy systems were left to fester, accumulating technical debt that slowed down innovation and development. Managers seemed to view technical debt as an inevitable cost of doing business rather than a serious threat to the company's long term health. This shortsightedness left engineers despondent, knowing that their efforts were being constantly undermined by a lack of proactive maintenance.
