Pros

Great people; Brian is an excellent CEO; good benefits; fast-moving environment.

Cons

Target is constantly churning its employees, encouraging them to find new jobs when they are actually good at the job they do. They also have a habit of fetishizing Merchant experience and reward those with Merchant experience with Leadership roles where Merchant skills aren't important. Target also has unshakeable faith in Target, despite clear evidence it doesn't always know best and it is quite poor in reflecting on what went wrong (because nothing every goes wrong!). I worked with a lot of people who were very unhappy in their jobs, with their boss and their Leadership - but they felt stuck.

Pros

If you are looking for a job that you’ll be a part of a fun team environment, have the ability to learn all about customer “guest” service, retail operations and sales, as well as merchandising even at entry level great opportunity. for such a large corporation I have been pleasantly surprised by how tight knit teams are. applying was okay, there were multiple steps (videos, assessments) but overall not too bad)., phone call and then video questions before hiring.

Cons

Pay isn’t great, but for the market it’s fair. Moving up involves a much larger increase in responsibilities and workload relative to the pay increase.
