Pros

Weekly pay, thats maybe it.

Cons

Pay is garbage, $17.50 but I’m doing everything imagineable on cars, other guys get way more for same work. Heres a quick story, I was hired at $17.50, but they started me at $17.00 for a couple weeks because of a “mistake”, they fixed it only after I brought it up! Tasca doesnt help you with anything in regards to training, tools, certificates, I was constantly promised Ford Certified Tech training and a sign on bonus I NEVER got. Also I was 22 when hired but they worked me like I had 30 years of experience with 50k in tools. Also several times other techs or salesmen would take keys of vehicles I’m doing without telling me and I would get blamed for it. Also they will call AND text you about job stuff on your personal phone EVEN ON NON WORK WEEKENDS!!!!!!! And they threatened to fire me if I wasnt always at the ready to pick up. Also management loves blaming you for screw ups people do on vehicles you touched prior, they overlook things others do even though they are things you would get punished for. Also they would get mad if I sat down, cleaned my tools or bay, use my phone, eat food, drink water even for a few minutes but they never had issues with others doing the exact same thing, and they have no issue with other techs taking endless smoke breaks, or just gathering and talking about anything for 30+ minutes. Also there could be no jobs on the board and you have no jobs to finsh and they will still yell at you for not having a car or “work to do”. Also other techs LITERALLY took creepshot photos of me to show management of things I’m “not supposed to be doing” (aforementioned examples). They had no issue with the photo taking but they had issues with me getting angry over that! Also they chew you out like its boot camp for mistakes or delays on jobs and they get even more mad when you explain or defend yourself, they’ll threaten to send you home or fire you. And over the course of 5 months we had 3 guys get fired, 4 guys get hired and 3 guys quit, in the shop it is high turnover so get used to meeting new people if you survive the meat grinder that is the Tasca working environment. People constantly quit or get fired. Also they literally threatened to fire me so many times for anything, so if you like paranoia and anxiety, great place to develop that. This is one of those work places where if they dont like you, they will make your life hell to make you quit, or they’ll just create a fake reason to fire you, the tascas themselves are numbers chasing businessmen and at the tasca dealers, they are gods to be worshipped who are always right no matter what. Place is absolutely demonic. The amounts of double standards of things others get away with, but I’m always nitpicked for it is immeasurable. Also everyones always backstabbing, insulting each other trying to get that favored position with the owners. Also the tasca owners will be sure to let you know about their race car careers, colleges they send their kids off to and mansions they live in while you live paycheck to paycheck at their mercy. Also in the shop, other techs will pull vehicles in your bay and use it when you arent there and will leave vehicles in it that you have to pull out next day (and said techs will yell at you for it) and management had me bouncing from bay to bay for nearly a month after being hired because they refused to give me a permanent bay, so if you work here, be ready to always be disoriented and never settled in and always lugging your toolboxes around bay to bay. And some techs are used to operating 2 bays side by side, be ready to be in a yelling match because management told you to steal a bay from one of the techs to “borrow for the day”. Also they had 1 dealer license plate to test drive cars to pass around around a dozen guys and they always got mad at why cars werent diagnosed or test driven promptly, and they got mad if you drove at highway speeds but would get mad if problems that arose only under certain driving conditions went undiagnosed. And theres been hundreds of times I got yelled at because the parts guys took forever to get my parts, and management told me to yell at the parts guys. A cycle of yelling. This place is a walk on eggshell nightmare. From the guys I interacted with, the majority of techs have been there for no more than a year or 2 at most. The older favored guys that have been there 5+ years are to be worshipped and are as right all the time as the Tascas themselves, and they get away with doing barely any work for way more pay! I once diagnosed a timing chain cover gasket leak a “favored” tasca 20+ year “tech” couldnt!!!!! I never got credit for it. Also despite the electric automatic garage doors and offices/reception having AC, the shop itself didnt have AC so when its hot outside, its even hotter inside, because the Tascas dont care about their employees, especially their mechanics. Also they’ll sell cars you’re still working on or promise a customer it’ll be done by whatever time and they’ll rush you to get it done even if you dont have the parts yet, and like usual, they’ll yell at you for it and force you to stay as late as they demand you to finish it. Or they’ll yell at the parts guys, who in turn, will yell at you, and back at management, you see how fun working at a Tasca dealership is? So what do you think, sound like an AMAZING place to work? And please understand, you, reader, I was the youngest guy in the whole shop and that explains why they walked all over me. If you are coming out of school or are trying to “move up” (like I had), DO NOT WORK AT A TASCA DEALER. YOUR EXPERIENCE WILL BE LIKE MINE. Save your time and mental health, do not work here!!!!

Pros

A lot of false promises

Cons

I received and accepted a written offer for a Used Car Manager position and made career decisions based on that commitment. Throughout the process, I interviewed with multiple GMs (within a two week span) and had direct conversations with ownership where expectations were clearly established. One day before my anticipated start date, I was informed that the role was no longer available and that I would instead be placed into a Finance Manager position—despite having explicitly stated I was not interested in finance. When I followed up with HR, I was told I was still being hired for the original role, highlighting a significant breakdown in communication across leadership. This was not a minor misunderstanding—it reflected a lack of coordination and accountability at a critical stage of the hiring process. Extending a written offer and then introducing conflicting information at the last minute puts candidates in a difficult and potentially damaging professional position. Candidates should be aware that alignment between leadership, management, and HR appears inconsistent, and to proceed with caution when making decisions based on verbal or written commitments.
