Pros
Even with it's growth it's still a startup at heart, for better or worst, but this allows anyone to have impact, and create their own destiny. The culture is top notch. Being primarily led by women at the top, and the company half women as well, helps to avoid aggressive, terrible environments you've heard about at other companies. The leadership team is very accessible, and transparent. Company is heading in a positive direction, and really listens to the employees. The company truly cares about its employees, the benefits and perks are top notch, and TR is striving to be a best in-class remote first company.
Cons
The platform itself has struggled for years resulting in needing to have a top notch operations department, CS, and Tasker Success Team to make up for those shortcomings. The issues with the platform design can be frustrating for engineers. Remote first culture is not without it's pitfalls. It can be hard to connect with others or feel truly engaged, and it's very much in the early stages of it's development. A lack of Black and LatinX, managers, Directors, and Senior Leadership is a shortcoming resulting in well meaning sentiments around DEIB. It comes from the top and truly needs to be a priority. TR is diverse for the tech industry, but that's not saying much- the industry as a whole needs to do better. Additionally the fast pace nature of the company leaves many feeling burned out fast with tons of responsibilities and projects all running at once- roles can feel unsustainable.
