Pros

I have been with TeamHealth for 7 years - if all goes well - this is where I plan to retire. The benefits are great They offer a myriad of things like short and long term disability, medical, dental, vision, hospital indemnity insurances. The flexibility in scheduling is fantastic. I'm sure it varies across location/department. The management team is very approachable and I am comfortable discussing issues openly with them. I have learned so much and appreciate that I am able to participate in in new and challenging process improvements and their implementation. We are continually growing so there is always something exciting going on. I am fortunate to have a lot of great role models from my Director, my VPO's, and my fellow Supervisors. There's always something new to learn.

Cons

Not a lot on the downside for me. Like everyone else as we are prone to those human attitudes - there is always room for more money.

Pros

Lots of autonomy, Decent pay if you are making bonus. Very competent colleagues. Complex patients. Opportunities to transfer due to size of org.

Cons

Weak connection between senior leadership and providers in the field. There is no 'culture'. You work within a multi-billion dollar company, owned by a trillion dollar private equity. Lousy benefits considering this. 3% match on 401k is below industry average. PTO is accrued, not automatic; the amount is 'just average'; especially compared to how much you'll work. No continuing education perks, like continuing education PTO or notable reimbursement. I received $2000/year at my last role. Lots of charting and lots of charting expectations.
