Pros

Great group of administrative professionals. Fun events with themed days. Team building positively. Great Christmas party. Remote flexibility is okay for those with hourly pay.

Cons

Onboarding was atrocious; the girl who was supposed to train me moved to scheduling and didn’t train me. She lied and said she was, as it was required for her to do before fully transitioning over. Thanks to Wanda for helping me out and getting me through it! She’s a gem. Working with 3 VPO’s who all work differently was difficult. I created a binder for each for when I was out (admins cover one another); and left it for my replacement. One VPO was quite busy; one was uber bossy, disorganized and demanding (she was moved to this role from c-suite after the merger); the other was low key and rarely asked for anything. All very different personalities but having over 90 facilities to manage was too much. One of my VPO’s should’ve gone to another admin. Work was very inconsistent and MDs always called to complain about their pay - and reimbursement for travel was a nightmare. Reports were okay but it was tough learning how to do this without proper training in the beginning. Most processes are dated and need revamping. A lot of drama in other departments so I was glad to be where I was. The teams are very cliquey. I did hear of inter-office romance between staff but didn’t get involved with the gossip. The practices of the company are questionable and they are often sued for it. Pay isn’t as good as it could be and benefits are lack luster for the industry. They put a lot of money into certain things that are simply wasteful. The company does have some growing pains which I don’t see them overcoming anytime soon

I’ve had a very positive experience working at TeamHealth. The organization truly prioritizes both its patients and its employees, which creates a strong sense of purpose in the work we do every day. One of the standout aspects is the collaborative and supportive culture. Leadership is approachable, communicative, and invested in helping teams succeed. There’s a genuine focus on continuous improvement, and employees are encouraged to share ideas and be part of driving change. TeamHealth also offers strong opportunities for growth and development. Whether it’s through formal programs or on-the-job learning, there’s a clear commitment to helping employees advance their careers. The company does a great job recognizing contributions and fostering a sense of belonging across teams. Pros: Supportive and engaged leadership Collaborative, team-oriented culture Opportunities for career growth and development Meaningful work that impacts patient care
