Pros

I enjoyed my co-workers.

Cons

You get stick in the Client Services ghetto really easily and if you have any ambition to get out they will let you know that you are just there to answer phones and are replaceable. Also after I was working there for 2 years I found out a new hire was being paid significantly more than I and other employees were currently being paid. This new hire did not have more experience or qualifications than I did, but when I was hired my starting salary was 'non-negotiable'

Thank you for sharing your perspectives. The Client Services Department at TechSoup boasts a significant rate of promotions. In every department at TS there is at least one employee that began their career in Client Services or as a temp. In fact, we are proud to share that most recently an entirely new department was created from our Client Services staff! Earnings, salary and hourly rates are determined by utilizing an internal/external equity model, and when discrepancies are identified we have a process for aligning those differences. We are committed to continuous improvement and appreciate all feedback. Thanks again for your comments.

Pros

Work life balance and some tireless colleagues

Cons

No direction whatsoever. Chasing CEO's half baked ideas to produce very little of value. Using tech that is decades old and trying to be an authority on nonprofit tech. They give "promotions", which for them means no pay increase but taking on the work of someone who quit.
