Pros

Other AMS's are cool. Lots of dogs.

Cons

Everything else. It's a soul crushing job that lacks respect from clients and management. They draw you in with "every department has someone from client services!" Which is untrue. In my two years I saw much more outside hire than inward promotion. The client services was also predominately women, and the few who did get promoted where all men. The head of the department openly complains about his employees. The pay is laughable and the HR department could basically not exist. This place is an utter mess with uninspiring management. You couldn't pay me enough to work here again - not that they'd ever offer it.

First, we appreciate the time you took to write and share this feedback. We learn from all feedback, good and bad. A lot of team members would agree what keeps them at TechSoup is its people and culture. We've all worked hard to uphold the organizational values that we believe in. Diversity and inclusion is an ongoing effort for any organization. Our executive leadership team, at this time, is made up of approximately 64% women and 36% men. In the last year, 32 of people have had the chance to grow their roles with TechSoup. The balance has been 59% women, 41% men. In addition, our pay is within line of other nonprofits. We supplement that with additional benefits including a flexible work schedule, a paid week off at year’s end, additional paid-time off and more. Thank you again for your comments. We wish you well in your career.

Pros

Work life balance and some tireless colleagues

Cons

No direction whatsoever. Chasing CEO's half baked ideas to produce very little of value. Using tech that is decades old and trying to be an authority on nonprofit tech. They give "promotions", which for them means no pay increase but taking on the work of someone who quit.
