Pros

Of all the places I have worked in my 26 year career, nowhere have I seen the teamwork, cooperation and enthusiasm of TSC. The breadth and depth of talent across the company is matched only by the respect and cooperation between team members within TSC. An entrepreneurial spirit is ever present. The management team that has evolved since the "dust settled" after the 2013 Sequestration together with a tragically timed retirement of leadership and many senior staff members is very charismatic and very connected to the employees. The new management team communicates regularly with employees in both large groups and small. The management team is approachable and available to any and all staff. Management is very sensitive to the needs of both the customers and their employees. The management team is experienced, competent and hard working.

Cons

As many reviewers have stated, with DoD being the primary revenue stream, the ups and downs are very much tied to the political climate of the nation. TSC has rightfully earned a deep respect from their customers. While this respect places TSC as a trusted partner for S&T programs of any readiness level, an act of congress can be detrimental as it was during the Sequestration of 2013, and thus the emergence of many varied opinions of the company as the company tried as best they could to "steady the ship" after many years of consistent profits.

Pros

Pay (at the time of hire) was slightly above average for the area among GovCon Medical insurance - costs for employees were kept low (lower than average) Retirement - ESOP and other employer retirement contributions were above average

Cons

The Dahlgren Operations Manager has little care to understand veterans with disabilities, which is surprising given his background. He's told a veteran "I can replace you with someone who doesn't need [appointments]" (for context, reference is to a virtual 1 hour appointment, once per week, at lunch time). He's handed out similar remarks to other veterans (including myself). I've left, the veteran who I referenced earlier left a few months later, and I know of two more veterans looking for an off ramp for similar treatment. If you're healthy, I'm sure you're fine. But if you have an existing medical condition that you're working with a provider to get under control, or if you have regular appointments - beware.
