Pros
Sounds like each person’s experience with TSC greatly depend on the location or contract they’re on. My experience was with the Plymouth office. The people are awesome. Solid, highly skilled, trustworthy, compassionate, and dedicated employee group. This is TSC’s greatest asset. Great benefits and good retirement as long as you stay long enough to be fully vested. Terrible vesting schedule but that’s a benefit to the company as most people don’t stay 5 years. TSC has some pretty cool sensor technology and with the right investment, they could have industry leading sensor tech.
Cons
TSC “corporate” continually puts road blocks in place that slow down the actual work. The excuse is always that policies are implemented to remain compliant with big government contracts. That may be true, but that requires hiring more people to manage all the extra admin duties. The budget isn’t there for the extra staff. The company is far behind the curve on the most basic corporate technology. It takes 45 minutes to make an expense report just for it to be denied 4 different times by 4 different people. If TSC wants to be a big company, they need to invest the big money into systems that make it easier for their employees, not more difficult. I shouldn’t have to put my password in 7 times every morning to get in my laptop. Seriously. The CEO is a really nice guy that seems to have good intentions and goals for the company. The CEO is an engineer, not a career CEO that knows how to take a 200 person company to a 500+ employee company.
