Pros

Coworkers are cordial and professional.

Cons

TSC used to be a great place to work, but over the last couple of years it has changed into a corporate sweatshop. Every department is overworked and is constantly rushing to get things done, which leads to frequently missed deadlines. The company is desperately trying to grow faster, which means that all opportunities (even obviously bad ones), are pursued aggressively. Leadership tends to say yes to the prime and accepts timelines that routinely leads to teams working past 10pm routinely, and often times on the weekend. Its very easy to agree to things when you are not the one doing the actual work. TSC has great workers, but that can be found anywhere. Its far more important to work somewhere where your employer is not only invested in burning you out to earn an extra dollar, but also in your growth.

Pros

Pay (at the time of hire) was slightly above average for the area among GovCon Medical insurance - costs for employees were kept low (lower than average) Retirement - ESOP and other employer retirement contributions were above average

Cons

The Dahlgren Operations Manager has little care to understand veterans with disabilities, which is surprising given his background. He's told a veteran "I can replace you with someone who doesn't need [appointments]" (for context, reference is to a virtual 1 hour appointment, once per week, at lunch time). He's handed out similar remarks to other veterans (including myself). I've left, the veteran who I referenced earlier left a few months later, and I know of two more veterans looking for an off ramp for similar treatment. If you're healthy, I'm sure you're fine. But if you have an existing medical condition that you're working with a provider to get under control, or if you have regular appointments - beware.
