Pros

The people are great. The hot dog cook out in the summer is cool.

Cons

Wages are low and stagnant. The people making lower wages in forge should be paid more that $11.50 and hour, considering the heat, wear on your health, cost for ruined clothing, and medical insurance. Favoritism by management and cell leads is rampant. I had a supervisor tell me to leave my voice at the door, while he sits and laughs and talks with his favorites during work hours. This is site wide.

Mission-Driven Work: It's incredibly rewarding to know your work directly impacts patients' lives. Every product that leaves our facilities helps someone heal, move, or live better. Cons

Fast-Paced Environment: Things are moving quickly, which is exciting—but it can also be a lot to keep up with if you’re not used to change or ambiguity. Growing Pains: As the company evolves, some legacy processes and systems still need to catch up. Leadership is aware and making progress, but it takes time. Stretch Roles: High performers may find themselves wearing multiple hats—which can be a great growth opportunity, but may stretch work-life balance at times. Variation by Site: The employee experience can differ depending on which location you’re at—some facilities are more modernized than others.
