Pros

Nice for Jr. employees, fresh out of college. Not good for senior people who've been around the block a few times.

Cons

This company seems to have a hard time trying to appreciate their employees. Salary is so-so and benefits are horrible. The company seems cheap for their employees and expensive for their customer. The medical insurance plans they offer have a very high deductible and very limited coverage. They used to offer free medial insurance for "employee only" plan, now with the new plans there is a cost. In addition the coverage levels have significantly lowered. I can no longer obtain my medical treatments from my current doctor since the insurance changed. You have to pay a deductible for everything now. When you complain to management the answer is "we are a small company" (LOL). The environment is very political, you are only noticed by management when you "play the game". Management act like children, joking around and laughing about any little thing. Employees are promoted if they buddy buddy with certain individuals. If you don't, then it's best to leave (like I'm trying to do). And yes, all upper management are ex General Dynamics Exec who's husbands, wives, sisters, brothers, in-laws, cousins, pet dogs and gold fish are employee through Synaptek.

Pros

TekSynap promotes a culture that emphasizes caring for its employees. The company hosts regular events such as annual gatherings and provides holiday gifts, which help foster a sense of community. Compensation is a strong point, with salary being one of the most attractive aspects. Benefits are competitive with industry standards, including a medical PPO plan, dental and vision coverage, up to a 6% 401(k) match, $15K in education benefits, and 20 days of PTO starting out.

Cons

Leadership is weak and often prioritizes contract renewals over supporting employees. There is a clear disconnect between the corporate messaging in monthly communications and the reality on the government contracting side. Compensation limits, offer letters, and pay structures are frequently used to justify requiring salaried employees to work extended hours and weekends. Leadership does not address the underlying issues and instead continues to apply short-term fixes rather than implementing meaningful, long-term solutions.
