Pros

Talented staff with a great deal of knowledge to dispense. Most departments offer excellent work life balance. Great employee discount program on 3rd party products. Tekserve owners care about their local community and donate time and money to many charities!!!

Cons

Poor training & development, no career path, MALE DOMINATED environment, leadership has poor people skills and no management training, only one HR director for a staff of 300+/-, poor communication and no consistency between departments. Operating the store w/an archaic FileMaker system that is frustratingly ineffective. Change does not come easy or happen quickly in this company!

-The people. I have stayed friends with co-workers long after they left, and after I left. If anything, working at Tekserve will at least widen your circle of friends. Sure, not everyone there is someone i'd share a drink with, but for the most part, everyone at least on the floor at Tekserve is a bit of a nerd/creative obsessive at heart and it's something we all shared. -Health benefits. I don't know if this still applies, but you are guaranteed at the very least a substantial free basic health care plan. Add-ons/upgrades are extra, of course, but the powers that be believe that an employee's right to free basic healthcare is sacrosanct. -Indoor bicycle parking is rare and awesome.

Cons

-Middlemicromanagement. Is that a real word? If not, it should be, and it should be known that Tekserve excels at it. -Pay rate for technicians is slightly below average, and it is next to impossible to negotiate raises, even after 3 or 4 years.
