Pros
I am happy to work somewhere where the main concern is helping as many people as possible, not profit. I feel fulfilled when I'm connected to my local community and this job gives me a chance to do this while also, making a living and paying my own bills. I also like that they offer a 401k and decent help insurance options.
Cons
You do typically have to work contract for 3 months before being hired on, full-time. At times being understaffed in certain key areas, creates headaches for newer employees to deal with. Because it is a non-profit there is a pretty high turnover rate as people get burnt out or find higher-paying jobs.
