Pros
The people are absolutely what kept me going there. Lots of amazing personalities and very bright minds. I felt honored to work alongside most of my colleagues, and to support them in whatever way I could.
Cons
Teledyne has fallen into a physical, psychological and strategic hole. Physically, the company does little to provide employees with the right equipment, software and resources to complete their tasks. The equipment/software is horrendously outdated and/or limited because the least amount of money was spent to get the job done. This is directly in line with their talent acquisition issues, as most institutions no longer teach or train using the equipment Teledyne has. Psychologically, management is fixated on what used to make them successful, and fail to see when something new displaces those old ways. Strategically, Teledyne consistently fails to anticipate the future, which then forces them to react or throw money at employees without bothering to hone in on the bigger problem.
