Pros
I've worked at the Roof Restaurant for five years and it was a great place to work up until the new management team came into power. It is good hours if you're a student (4-10 pm and Sundays are off,) and you can make decent tips. However, the toxic work environment that the new management team has created is hardly worth it anymore. I've put in my two weeks notice because the environment is unbearable.
Cons
Management is deceitful and does not treat employees with respect. They are terrible at communication. They won't listen to any criticisms you have. They try to control every aspect of your life (i.e talking about work outside of work.) They promote those who have personalities that they like. If you don't have a personality they like, they will stop scheduling you, even if you give great service to guests. Management stops scheduling in order to push servers out (again to do with personality, not service). Manager does not e-mail employees back. Manager has made employees cry for being really intense with them. Extremely toxic work environment. I could go on and on about how terrible the management team is. Would not recommend working here.
