Pros

Tenable is easily the best company I've worked for, and I give especially high marks to our first tier support managers that do a wonderful job of keeping people focused but not making you feel like a cog in the machine. There's a great repository of experience which is pretty rare for a support desk. So far I've found senior & principle support engineers very knowledgeable and willing to help. The breadth of what support covers is so large everyday is a new challenge and I've learned much in my time here.

Cons

It's no joke the company is expanding quickly and a virtual army of sales people were hired. That by itself is not really a con. The problem is they did not upscale support for the influx of new customers nearly as fast so we are well behind the curve.

Pros

Great environment and company culture.

Cons

Only do winter interns from my knowledge, so intern period is very short.

Pros

We can essentially use AI without any limit right now. The pay and compensation is industry leading but that's how they get you to stay.

Cons

The engineering organization is technologically stagnant — from CI pipelines, to sec/ops practices and overall architecture, everything is locked into legacy practices with little room for outside perspectives. Attempts to introduce modern tools or new ideas are consistently met with resistance rather than curiosity. There's also a stark tenure gap. Most engineers leave within a year or two once they recognize the limited ability to drive change, while those who stay long-term — often 8+ years — have rarely worked outside this environment and lack exposure to broader industry practices.
