Pros

The other nurses and techs are kind and welcoming.

Cons

Tenet does not care about their employees. They are only concerned about their bottom line and how much money they can make. They making getting PTO difficult and even more difficult to actually use. They claim they can force you to take required overtime (up to 4 extra while shifts in a 6 week period) and will punish you with extra patients if you don’t pick up enough extra shifts. Education is lacking. You can only move up in rank if you are friends with the right people, or can survive the abuse long enough with a smile on your face. There is no incentive for hard work, going the extra mile, or even staying for years. No bonuses for anything, except the one time they gave us a voucher for a single meal in the cafeteria which was useless for night shift because the cafeteria is closed from 6:30pm until 6:30am. If you value yourself as a worker, don’t work here.

We are sorry to hear your employment experience is not meeting your initial expectations. The healthcare industry, while extremely rewarding, does present some challenges when it comes to schedules. We encourage all our employees to take their PTO and schedule in advance whenever possible. Be sure to talk with your direct supervisor about any specific PTO questions.
