At least it's a job with benefits.

Cons

Pay is low and raises few and far between, with no merit increases. Yet insurance premiums, co-pays, co-insurance, and deductibles continue to rise. Pay is low compared to private sector.

8-4:30 M-F schedule Easy to take time off Front load PTO to make managing time off easier Hybrid work schedule

Cons

- Minimal accountability - Pay is well below national average - Pay for Performance standards are near impossible to “exceed expectations” - Double standards is the standard - Promotions are slow, so don’t expect to move up fast
