Paid holidays off, laid back working environment, great peers and direct management, and work from home program for most state agencies.
Cons
Promotions usually occur externally, pay raises are inflexible unless you come in from private, salary is transparent to the public, and working environment is more unprofessional than other employers because it is harder to get rid of employees so some can get comfortable with undesirable habits.
