      Good benefits. Great feeling of helping victims of crimes.

      Cons

      No job security if working for an elected official. A re-election cost me a job even though I had no disciplinary issues and had more than satisfactory job performance. I had less than a month notice that I would not be re-hired.

      8-4:30 M-F schedule Easy to take time off Front load PTO to make managing time off easier Hybrid work schedule

      - Minimal accountability - Pay is well below national average - Pay for Performance standards are near impossible to “exceed expectations” - Double standards is the standard - Promotions are slow, so don’t expect to move up fast
