Counselors can Flex Time Benefits Most supervisors understand you have a life outside of work and as long as you get things done and stay within policy they let you do your thing

Cons

Environment is rough Daily stress Security is first and can make it difficult to do the job of a counselor

Good work-life balance, great pay, excellent leadership and great people. TN State Government invests in employee development much more than any other company I have worked for.

8-4:30 M-F schedule Easy to take time off Front load PTO to make managing time off easier Hybrid work schedule

Cons

- Minimal accountability - Pay is well below national average - Pay for Performance standards are near impossible to “exceed expectations” - Double standards is the standard - Promotions are slow, so don’t expect to move up fast
