Great way to get experience right out of college Interviews are fairly easy Benefits are good Depending on the department job security is good Easy to transfer throughout the state to get other experience Holidays and vacation time Work/life balance is great

Of course pay is very low for the majority of the workers Expected budget cuts could cause you to lose your job with no notice Some departments have terrible upper management Friends hiring friends so the best candidates are not chosen Upper management brings personal matters to the office Very hard to get to the top due top positions being chose by central office. Many directors have no experience in the work being done by the workers below them
