      The State is a great place to learn and develop and has nice benefits like paid holidays. Working for the state also is a very stable position to hold.

      Cons

      It is hard tomorrow up after a certain point. Leadership positions donor open frequently and when that is the only next forward step it makes it difficult to want to stay.

      Good work-life balance, great pay, excellent leadership and great people. TN State Government invests in employee development much more than any other company I have worked for.

      Sometimes things move slowly due to red-tape.

      8-4:30 M-F schedule Easy to take time off Front load PTO to make managing time off easier Hybrid work schedule

      - Minimal accountability - Pay is well below national average - Pay for Performance standards are near impossible to “exceed expectations” - Double standards is the standard - Promotions are slow, so don’t expect to move up fast
