      The work I do is rewarding. I have been with the state for 10 year's android really like the area I work in. In the past have have made suggestions that have been applied.

      downside leaving our building to go to another building. that took us from being close to downtown

      Pros

      Good work-life balance, great pay, excellent leadership and great people. TN State Government invests in employee development much more than any other company I have worked for.

      Sometimes things move slowly due to red-tape.

      8-4:30 M-F schedule Easy to take time off Front load PTO to make managing time off easier Hybrid work schedule

      Cons

      - Minimal accountability - Pay is well below national average - Pay for Performance standards are near impossible to “exceed expectations” - Double standards is the standard - Promotions are slow, so don’t expect to move up fast
