Pros

During my two years at Terminix I earned a decent wage due to weekly overtime (50-67 hours weekly). My 2 years at the company was great until managers started to get fired and they brought in new managers which were micro managed by regional managers that were managed by national managers (whew) which ended up being a total mess. Every branch is different. So when you apply you better pray to God that you have decent branch managers and service managers and also cool regional managers which crack the whip on those guys daily. Within the branch that I worked at they had about four or five guys that were there for more than five to ten years. Everyone else has been there 1 to 2 years or less. The only negative I can mention about the job is the commission pay plan which they implemented for techs. You have to complete 200 or so stops to make a decent wage versus getting a hourly wage which was the way it used to be. And the sad part about that is 9 times out of 10 you won't hit your quota for the month due to weather issues, scheduling issues, extra service stops, meetings, Etc. So if you get a decent route you can make decent money. If you get a trash route you will be stuck will account cancellations and more which will leave with something like a McDonalds pay check. The health benefits were cool, the vacation plan is cool and also the 401K is cool. If you are a person that has to be home by 5 p.m. everyday, go to weddings, family events, nightly family supper, nightclubs/bars, concerts and parties weekly/daily, don't apply for this job lol. They are pretty good with sick days and off time, but you will work long hours 6 days per week. To sum it up this company is probably the best out of the top three or four LARGE CORPORATE pest control companies across the United States. And to be honest with you, most of these companies operate the same, so if you think you're going to leave one and get better results as an employee you probably won't. Bottom line, if you're going to get into the pest control industry , have a good back-up plan, save your money and invest wisely, because any day can be your last day.. Good luck.. Pros Crazy overtime, health benefits, vacation time, working alone, meeting people

Cons

Micro management, Commission pay, High turnover

Pros

The interview itself was professional, and the position initially appeared to offer strong career potential. The compensation package, company vehicle, and advancement opportunities were what attracted me to apply in the first place.

Cons

The hiring process was excessively long, impersonal, and poorly communicated. I was repeatedly told the company was excited to have me join the team, yet I was never given an opportunity to discuss or explain my background before being rejected. Communication consisted almost entirely of generic, copy-and-paste emails, leaving me feeling like another number instead of a person.
