Pros
Great experience to get into teaching professionally. My colleagues were supportive. I received valuable training for Allies - LGBTQiA+ to serve my students.
Cons
Adjunct teaching is a pyramid scheme and relies on labor of part-time employees who commute an hour to the university to teach one class per semester. As I'm sure you can guess, it wasn't sustainable. I had two other jobs to make ends meet and have health insurance. Other part-time adjunct faculty who were my colleagues climbed the ladder to teach three or four classes a semester, but it still wasn't enough compensation for their time and expertise. If you aren't tenure-track, you're always going to be on the bottom of the food chain in academia.
