Pros
My hours were very flexible - if I needed to call in to spend more time working on homework or studying for a test it was no hassle. The other side of that meant that I was often called to see if I could work when I was not scheduled to - which I thought was great when I didn't have anything to do that day or needed the extra money.
Cons
As with most government jobs change happens very slowly. You can suggest great ideas but it has to make it through ten people to be considered for implementation.
