Pros

The Department has good computer and software infrastructure for graduate students. This includes the support of an IT specialist that believes in service and is very responsive. The leadership, Department Chairman, is very positive and is available for meetings when requested. The Department is well funded, with funding from USDA and commodity groups. Most, if not all, graduate student that apply receive scholarships.

Cons

Department has several office locations within the Lubbock area; this makes interaction between graduate students more difficult.

Pros

The job itself isn't very demanding, if you have a general knowledge of computers/IT, you'll do fine.

Cons

the only con is whenever there's big waves of accounts or specific times of the year, it can get pretty busy.
