Pros

Great benefits. Small company feel. Lots of engagement activities. Christian environment.

Cons

Extremely toxic mid-management that goes unchecked and are very incompetent. Employees are overworked and very short staffed. Other groups in the company work well together. The NGL group is mismanaged and the employees are extremely unhappy. Everyone is scared to be laid off and are unable to speak about their grievances. Commercial employees threaten to leave and take their customers with them when they don’t get their way. The CEO encourages employees to work 40 hours a week, the management bullies their employees to do otherwise.

Thank you for taking the time to share your review and for the five‑star rating. It’s great to hear that you value the balance between performance and having fun, along with respect for life priorities. Creating an environment where people can do meaningful work while maintaining a healthy perspective on life outside of work is important to us, and we’re glad that’s been your experience. We also recognize your feedback that business culture can vary between teams. As we continue to grow, we’re focused on strengthening alignment around our core values while respecting the unique needs of each group. Thank you again for sharing your perspective.

Pros

You'll gain some experience to put on your resume. They are somewhat flexible with schedule. You get to WFH 2 times a week, mostly Wednesday and Friday. Assuming the group is fully staffed you'll work on call every 3rd week.

Cons

Management communicates at a volume that makes you wonder if it’s a leadership style or an audition for a rock band (think of nails on chalk board) Training is more of a “figure it out and build character” program and asking questions is technically allowed but comes with a complimentary side of feeling like you just asked how to tie your shoes.

Thank you for sharing this feedback. We’re sorry to hear your experience at Texon didn’t match the kind of supportive, respectful workplace we expect at Savage. Clear, constructive communication and meaningful training matter, and we take concerns like this seriously.
