Pros
Good vacation benefits with flexible rules on use, office is very nice and stocked with free pop and snacks. Lunch is brought in for employees every so often. Salary is decent and benefits are good
Cons
No concept of work life balance. Overtime (without pay, employees are salaried) is frequently demanded. The only reward for overtime is occasionally getting free dinner, even a simple verbal thank you is rare. Quality is routinely sacrificed to meet absurd deadlines, sometimes cutting QA entirely out of the process. Company ownership is hostile and petulant to all employees. Apologies may (rarely) be made, but mostly they buy lunch or treats to try and make up for treating employees horribly. Office atmosphere is (understandably) negative, and corporate culture is such that trying to leave on time is essentially taboo.
