Pros

This company had the potential to be a great place to work. They have high quality standard for their products and services and customers/clients appreciate that.

Cons

The workload in this company was brutal and crazy. The work seemed to be infinite and nonstop. When an employee couldn't squeeze twelve hours of work into a normal 8-hour day, his/her supervisor would verbally abuse him/her instead of seriously acknowledging the unrealistic challenges they were expected to face/accomplish each & every day. This type of environment is generally hazardous and unhealthy for anyone, so obviously I don't recommend it.

Thanks for the time to write your review. Thatcher has customers. Customers have projects and deadlines. Our managers work diligently with customers on timelines to ensure those deadlines are reasonable. The work at Thatcher is challenging. Technology is always evolving and changing. Our employees work 40 hours per week on a consistent basis. Managers encourage teams to stay on task and communicate when issues arise. Employees MUST advocate for themselves if they run into a situation where a task takes longer than expected OR when they are stuck on a task. For example, if a task is scheduled to take 3 hours to complete and employee is stuck and unable to move forward at the 1.5 hour mark, the employee should reach out to the lead or manager at the 2 hour mark for guidance if they are unable to find a solution on their own. If an employee waits to reach out to the lead or manager until hour 6, tasks and projects may be delayed. Communication is key when reaching deadlines. When communication is timely, goals and deadlines are reached. Daily scrum meetings during each sprint also help keeping goals in check and can help with adjusting timelines or tasks. It is unfortunate that you are suggesting a supervisor verbally abused their employee. All hires review company policy and steps to take during new hire orientation. Concerns can only be addressed if brought to the attention of the executive team, managers or human resources. Thatcher managers and executive team have an open-door policy. Employees are able to reach out to them directly to express an issue or concern, as well as the Human Resources department. Employees and their direct manager have one on one meetings on a regular basis where feedback is welcome. If employees have concerns, there are many ways in which to notify the company. Please note that constructive criticism may be given to help employees grow and learn and is different from verbal abuse. An infinite amount of work would correlate to Thatcher thriving! As Thatcher relies on customers for business, infinite/non-stop work is a good thing if you look at it this way. We wish you the best at your current/future employer.
