Pros
-A job that pays you what your worth -Great pay(some weeks I made $1000 a week working approx. 30 hrs) -You learn a lot about human nature -You learn to overcome rejection easily -Teaches you that nothing is going to be handed to you in life and gives you the drive to succeed -You get to network in an indirect way(I've had numerous job offers from people who liked my energy and some of them were jobs that you need a degree for but at the time I felt like I was making a better hourly wage than they could offer me) -Some great memories with coworkers and sometimes it didn't feel like work -Half the hrs we accrued and got paid for were spent horsing around driving to the neighborhoods
Cons
-Well I can't speak for other positions but as far as being a door to door salesman goes, you encounter a lot of crap -Sometimes you feel like you have no soul because you take advantage of push-overs just to make an extra buck -You get yelled and cursed at, the cops called on you, I've had a gun pulled on me twice, in the winter months you walk around in the freezing cold -In other words, this job is for money-hungry people with thick-skin, not for pussies(there have been a lot of people who've quit the first day on the job because they couldn't handle it)
