Pretty sure this is a pyramid scheme - Anonymous employee The Borgen Project Employee Review

I think this is a pyramid scheme. I was super excited to work at the Borgen Project until I was pretty certain they hire literally everyone who applies. The fundraising we are required to do is generated from asking our friends and family for money instead of company leads, meanwhile there's no transparency about where this money is going. I haven't talked to my manager once over the course of my internship, and there's little to no communication between interns and full time employees.
