Hi! This is Chelsea from Human Resources. I love your subject line, “Amazing place to work!” It’s great to hear that you enjoy the culture and people at Broad as much as I do. I’m glad that you brought up the topic of diversity. The Broad is deeply committed to bringing a diverse group of people together to solve our toughest scientific challenges. I’m also very excited that we just hired a person to lead our diversity and inclusion efforts across the Institute. I would be happy to connect with you to discuss any ideas you may have on this topic. You can reach out to me at cbodenstab@broadinstitute.org.

Pros

Benefits, such as PTO and health, are fantastic.

Cons

A pro and a con are there are rarely set ways to do things. You can pave your own way, but others could be paving a way to the same destination and just creating more paths when it would be better to work together.

Thank you for your thoughtful review! We love that you feel the autonomy to pave your own way here, and recognize that also can present its own challenge with duplicating efforts.
