Pros

Excellent benefits and lovely environment.

Cons

Spend too much time and money on catering. Challenge to find work/life balance as an admin. that didn't strain the relationship with my supervisors. Hard to find ways to grow in the administrative role, though it varies among admins, depending on their group and manager.

Hi - this is Gillian Mackay-Smith, Associate Director, HR Special Projects. Thank you so much for writing a review, and for your great feedback about our benefits and our work environment. I’m sorry to hear that you had a hard time finding a work/life balance in your time at Broad as an administrative assistant. We recommend that those who may be experiencing these types of challenges reach out to their HR Partner or our BroadLife office to work with the employee and their manager to determine a mutually favorable path forward. In terms of career development support, our HR Partners or our People Development office can be helpful with career development steps, and we offer 1:1 coaching with an administrative career coach who is well versed in Broad’s various career paths. Additionally, the ASPC (Administrative Support Professional Community) is our affinity group for administrative support staff, and provides professional development and team building opportunities.

Pros

Benefits, such as PTO and health, are fantastic.

Cons

A pro and a con are there are rarely set ways to do things. You can pave your own way, but others could be paving a way to the same destination and just creating more paths when it would be better to work together.

Thank you for your thoughtful review! We love that you feel the autonomy to pave your own way here, and recognize that also can present its own challenge with duplicating efforts.
