Pros

Fantastic benefits, most managers are pretty easy-going about allowing flexible work schedules and time off. Coworkers can be friendly, but it depends on the lab/team. Lots of opportunities to get involved with cutting-edge technology (but you must proactively ask for them).

Cons

This is a very high profile research organization. Because of this, there are a lot of prima donnas among leadership. There is definitely a caste system here: don't expect to be promoted very far up the ladder without a MD or PhD. If you want a raise or promotion, you have to heavily advocate for yourself. Most people give up and leave after 3-5 years.

Pros

Benefits, such as PTO and health, are fantastic.

Cons

A pro and a con are there are rarely set ways to do things. You can pave your own way, but others could be paving a way to the same destination and just creating more paths when it would be better to work together.

Thank you for your thoughtful review! We love that you feel the autonomy to pave your own way here, and recognize that also can present its own challenge with duplicating efforts.
