People are underpaid for sure. Most other computational postdoctoral programs pay 90k+, Here we are paid 78k after 3 years of experience, excluding PhD. Also all performance evaluations are up to one person's opinion of you even when they aren't involved enough in your projects to understand the challenges you have overcome

A pro and a con are there are rarely set ways to do things. You can pave your own way, but others could be paving a way to the same destination and just creating more paths when it would be better to work together.
