Pros

Carlyle is a great name to add to your resume and you’ll make lifelong friends suffering in silence from the professional misconduct of upper management.

Cons

Given the hierarchical structure I can know see Carlyle is still stuck in, it is much easier to eliminate from the bottom of the totem pole than to ask senior leadership to self reflect and implement changes to foster a culture that encourages talent retention and growth. Contrary to the impression I was given when I first joined, it’s transparent that Carlyle‘s goals are not aligned to sustain a supportive workplace culture where all employees can feel supported and valued.
