Pros
Early morning shift 8am-3pm. Never a night shift. Work as a group for about an hour in the front lobby first thing the the morning and the rest of the day you work alone. Very direct job, basic cleaning. Always work to do and you can take breaks and sit in main areas and lunch room as long as work is still done by 3pm. 15 min paid break and then a mandatory 1 hour break. The people in the building overall are really nice. Coworkers are really nice and help as much as they can and then of course you have the ones who play nice and talk smack once you leave the room.
Cons
Pay is 8.45 and has been around the same pay for years! People working 4+ years making same wage as they started or close to it not up by much. Paper checks ONLY and occasionally has problems paying they're employees.. Constantly having to clean up after other housekeepers because there wasn't enough workers for if someone calls out. Coworkers are lazy and lie and about cleaning. No Benefits! No room for growth. Pay goes up a few cents not much. Does not provide you with uniform. The amount of work simply isn't worth the pay. Very easy job but overworked each room shouldn't take no more than 8-10 mins, but if you're backed up with extra work it can take a longer and after a few times they can be nit picky about that clock out by 3 period. The floor manager acts like you can't be sick more than twice a year.. ( for those who has health or mental heath issues) even with doctors notes and all they be in they feelings.
