Pros
Benefits Tips- I finished one year with $70,000 salary one year as server although working 40+ hrs a week. Other years 50-60 for full year at around 30 hrs a week. Hot Schedules- easy to change schedule POS system- very easy pos system compared to others Team environment- for most of my time there, there was a good team chemistry and staff supported one another. Management not so much maybe 1 out of 10 management would actually get hands on. Great training
Cons
Management Corporate puts pressure for sales on management who in turn will push employees. The average guest differs depending on location, my location there were a lot of tourists who did not tip and a lot of lower class people who were rude, ignorant, needy, then stiff on top of that. Although it was mainly luck of the draw a lot of good tips as well. The Manager who controls the schedule can make your job much worse. When there is favoritism for reasons other than work ethic and performance it becomes a problem which definitely was apparent at one time in my location.
