Pros

You learn a lot of skills and if you are good at the job you will walk away qualified for positions in almost any field.

Cons

High caretaker burnout. Long shifts anywhere from 10-16 hours. Sharp learning curve. Hard to find good workers or good supervisors. Exploits the workers who are “there for the kids” and does not recognize exceptional work.
