Pros
The Choice is great at getting you placed in a position extremely quickly. Their onboarding is fast and efficient. Larissa is extremely kind and responsive; she was the only person who I felt actually cared about me.
Cons
Overall, a lack of professionalism. Employees will attempt to contact you via text messaging, especially if you dare to not check your email 24/7. There is no professional development. I only ever had one meeting with The Choice employees about a month in on my position; otherwise, they never contacted me afterwards. There were issues with my performance, and I was dismissed without warning. Likewise, I have spoken to others who were wrongfully terminated for daring to ask for a permanent position or a hybrid work option. The way they hand terminations is a disgrace. They are extremely controlling with your days off. At least for my position, there were no paid holidays. Likewise, I only accrued 1 hour of PTO per (roughly) 43 hours worked, so you have to work for months before even being able to take an entire day off. Sorry if you have children or an emergency-just take the day off unpaid! It's not like you're a temp worker in an already precarious financial situation or anything like that. For anyone considering working with The Choice, I'd highly recommend treading lightly. Be careful, and do not count on them for long-term employment. I'd highly recommend seeking out temp work from another agency.
