Pros
18 months ago, I took an opportunity to become the VP of Market Access for a life sciences advertising agency. I work across multiple therapeutic areas providing strategic support and the development of marketing materials. I cover all components market access including payer, settings of care, patient services and even some distribution. The only reason I got this opportunity is because of my experience working with the Dedham team and their clients. The combination of working in New York, consulting and life sciences presents some challenges regardless of the firm you work for. If you truly don't want to be in consulting or pharma. market access, then yes, The Dedham Group, or any market access consulting firm is not for you and will result in a negative experience. If you want a career in the most important aspect of healthcare being market access consulting, then I would strongly recommended Dedham. It might not always feel positive at times but if you strive for great things, they will help you get there, as they have done for me
Cons
Yes, there were times when it was difficult. Some project were harder than others and had a greater level of challenge and stress especially when clients can be demanding. Those times can create stress in the workplace but when the dust settles everyone at Dedham during my time had a great personal connection and I always felt that feedback provided, even if negative at times was done for my self improvement
