Pros
- Culture. TDR fosters a positive work environment where everyone is valued as an actual person, not just a number or a money-making machine. It's okay to crack an afternoon beer, take a lunch break walk, and just plain have fun. As long as your work gets done, you have a lot of freedom in how you structure your day.
- Flexibility. When weather or life events get in the way, TDR gives you the opportunity to work from home. Last-minute appointments are no big deal. There isn't a strict cap to PTO. Everyone works together to keep the ball rolling for our clients when employees have other things to deal with — you're never alone, and you never have to deal with unrealistic demands.
- Every day is different. Because of our range of clients and the fact that we're growing so quickly, new things are constantly popping up. There's no such thing as falling into a rut or being bored.
- Small size. To me, this is a major pro. TDR is big enough that we do great work and have steady clients, but we're small enough that everyone can work together. The opportunities to learn from co-workers are everywhere!
Cons
- Every once in a while you have to bring work home or deal with a sudden influx of projects all with similar deadlines. This can be a little overwhelming from time to time, but it's really just how the industry works — plus the great culture and flexibility totally make up for it!
