Pros
Good preparation for future jobs, no real prerequisites for growth
Cons
The Escape Game has all the makings of a great company, but it absorbs too much of the toxic mega church culture of the founders’ church. Anyone can get ahead which is cool, but to do so you have to be willing to sell your soul. They talk about being a “trust and promote” follower (as opposed to one who questions), which is essentially used as a barometer for commitment. Speaking of commitment, if leadership senses anything short of all out dedication from you, you will not succeed here. For managers, that means devoting your whole life to the job. Managers are disciplined for not being 100% in tune with their stores even on their off days or on PTO. Accountability for middle management and below is intense and constant. Accountability for everyone above them is non-existent, because it is viewed as questioning leadership’s direction. Even the HR department contains nepotism, so it’s hard to get anywhere with real improvement.
