Pros

It's extremely obvious that the creation of the games and the labor of love that is putting them together is something to be admired. I do appreciate the amount of detail and quality that goes into the games and learning the in's and out's of every game. I am grateful for my experience in being able to fix the games and learn a lot of really interesting wiring and mechanics because of this. Where I'm specifically at, my hours are mostly respected, and I can generally gauge how much I'll actually be working in peak vs pre-season. I have met a lot of kind and funny people working there and I have made some friendships that really gave me hope in people again. I do have a generally good time at work and the time flies by quite quickly when we are busy. There's some amazing connections with guests you can make on a day to day basis, something truly memorable, and it really does warm my heart to see those moments.

Cons

Here comes this part. I am disappointed and frustrated in this company that employs so many members of the LGBTQ+ community but does not extend them the respect they deserve. Pronouns are a simple thing to a lot of companies but it means the world to a lot of people to be addressed correctly. So why not here? What is there to gain from completely wiping the identity of someone who already conforms to the strict dress code? What harm is there in displaying pronouns of your game guides? Why do we stop being people to run an escape room? The leadership class that is mostly mandatory for any growth into higher leadership contains passages from the Bible which includes a story about David and Bathsheba and his adultery. In a professional and educational setting, a specific religion that a lot do not adhere to, is not appropriate by any means. There are instances where some guests will treat you badly, make you cry, and try to get every discount under the sun, or drop off their young children with no supervision to play a game with random strangers who did not opt in to play with stray children. Cutting people from the schedule feels bad every time in an effort to save some dollars and while it is in the nature of escape rooms in general, they consider being understaffed with more games than people as "healthy pressure".

Pros

The team itself and the coworkers were rad. Everyone is positive and supportive but not in a toxic positive way.

Cons

--its really bizarre policy to make your plus ones pay for the game...on training games. And do you get paid while training on a game? Nope. Ive never seen any other escape room operate that way and it came off so greedy that friends I brought almost questioned me working there. -very passive aggressive store management. Yes its important to have professionalism but management will get on you for petty small things that made no difference to the guest experience. They also dont seem to be familiar with workers laws in the location theyre managing. --starting out they'll send you home early rather than taking time to train you on everything. If its a tiny bit slow, you get cut. This makes pay incredibly unstable and the pay was already abysmal for the area. --I didnt mind company values at first but it rapidly becomes clear that their generosity and integrity values are only for guests, not for employees. In fact they'll be incredibly stingy towards you. --once your hours stop getting cut, if you've stayed in the trenches long enough, now they suddenly put you on for 11 hour shifts. And schedule requests are often ignored. --if I ever end up rich I want to buy the company out and run it better out of sheer spite.
