The job application pool is so low they are desperate and hiring anyone. Employees are doing whatever they want and getting away with it because of not enough staff. Managers at my location are not fair with distributing labor to departments, they expect departments to run on a ridiculously minimal amount of hours, and when we ask for help are told to figure it out, or shop orders faster. The direct shoppers have less than 2 hours to do a time slot which has up to 6 orders, (some stores have 9/10 an hour) so technically an hour, because every hour orders come thru. The manager spends most of her time in the office, and talks down to people. They start at around $15 but there are people who have been there 18 years who are only making $12-$13. It’s good they raised the starting pay but need to look out for the reliable workers who have been there years, and not take them for granted. Because of not being able to schedule the correct amount of labor needed, I’m doing 2-3 peoples jobs and can’t get everything a lead needs to get done. And if it’s busy and I stay later to help my employees out so they aren’t stuck, I get yelled out for over time, and have to cut the time a different day! I used to LOVE going to work and taking as many shifts as I can. Now I am so exhausted and stressed, I dread going to work. It all starts at the top of the totem pole, I have never seen so many unhappy employees at one location.
